temperament: energetic, game-bred, mildly  dog-aggressive, people-stable. health: excellent,  no history of hip dysplasia or any other health  problems. She contracted parvo as a pup but  survived and made a fast and full recovery.  She's a very strong dog.

Grandson of Going Light Barney and namesake of the Chako Rescue Association (this breeding is not associated with the Chako Rescue Association). One of the finest APBTs that ever lived. Remarkable in so many ways -- a passionate and highly intelligent dog who lived life to its fullest. He's one of the smartest dogs we've ever encountered, of any breed.

He aced out in one weight pull contest. At approximately 65 pounds, he beat all the other dogs in the competition hands down. An extraordinarily intelligent dog, he proved a loyal and stable companion during his 16 years of life. His line was almost dead, but it's now being resurrected through Dino, his best offspring. You can find Chako in many of Richard Stratton's books.

Health information: Chako lived to quite an old age. He was free of hip dysplasia and remained healthy considering his age. None of his pups, including Dino, have ever developed hip dysplasia or any other significant health problems, even into old age.
